How is the Consistent Quality of E3 Products Assured?

From the moment we harvest the AFA, to its final packaging, we work with only the most highly trained and qualified staff. We handle our AFA with such care from start to finish. Factors contributing to this quality include: where and how we harvest, keeping the AFA cold at all times, superior filtration and storage, and ongoing quality-control testing of all of our products. All E3 products are tested thoroughly by independent USDA certified labs for food safety, shelf-life and various other purity tests. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with every product!

We safety test every batch of AFA (Aphanizomenon flos‑aquae) before and during harvest, and again before and after bottling. All E3 products are thoroughly tested by independent USDA‑certified labs for food safety, shelf‑life, and purity, including screening for potential contaminants such as Listeria, Salmonella, Staph aureus, Yeast/Mold, Coliform/E. coli, Aerobic Plate Count, BMAA, PAH, Microcystin, Anatoxin‑a, Saxotoxin, Cylindrospermopsin, and neurotoxins. We meet or exceed all applicable standards set by the FDA and Department of Agriculture. In addition, lake water is tested quarterly for radionuclides, heavy metals, and pesticide residues (including arsenic, mercury, lead, and cadmium) using drinking‑water standards, by independent laboratories specializing in food and water quality.

From harvest to final packaging, our AFA is handled by highly trained staff with strict cold‑chain control, advanced filtration and storage, and continuous quality‑control testing. Our quality care begins with the selection of the freshest AFA blooms from pristine Eagle Ridge, followed by careful purification and then rapid chilling of the harvest to 34–37 °F. E3Live is processed from harvest to freezer more quickly than any competing product, supporting a highly potent, high‑integrity AFA.

Because AFA quality depends on its source and handling, knowing your supplier is essential. E3Live and other E3AFA products are harvested by one of the most experienced teams in the industry, supported by a dedicated staff of engineers. Klamath Algae Products, Inc./E3Live uses a multifaceted quality system that begins with prescreening water and biomass at the harvest site to confirm potential contaminants are below strict thresholds before harvesting begins. We then selectively harvest AFA with advanced technology designed to minimize unwanted material, filter the collected biomass, and pull samples for quality testing to ensure the product we are harvesting falls within our strict standards.
