Can E3Live and AFA products vary in taste and color from bottle to bottle?

AFA is a wild-grown natural food.  The diverse colors, scents, and flavors of E3Live AFA across different harvests stem from the ever-changing daily shifts in weather, sunlight, water temperature, air temperature, seasons, and more. This inherent variability is an integral aspect of the charm of wild-harvesting this crucial aquabotanical.

Each harvest yields algae with varying taste, levels of chlorophyll, carotenoids, and essential fatty acids. When E3Live AFA displays a more pronounced blue hue, it indicates a higher concentration of phycocyanin. Conversely, during periods when E3Live appears a little more toward green with some brownish tint, it signifies an increased presence of carotenoids compared to chlorophyll.

We do our best to select a broad spectrum of algae from throughout the harvest year to remain as consistent as possible in taste and color.   Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring that every year, with every harvest, we provide the highest quality 100% Aphanizomenon flos-aquae (AFA).
