Serving size powder variations

Q:  Why are the serving sizes for AFA and Blue Majik both 1 gram, but AFA is 1/2 teaspoon, whereas BM is 1 teaspoon?
A:  The serving size is by weight, not volume.  This is due to different mesh size of each product.

example:  the weight of 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar vs 1 teaspoon of powdered sugar.   Same volume (1 teaspoon) but different weights.

volume = the amount of space something takes up
weight = a measure of the heaviness (or lightness)

Q: Why did I get fewer servings from my 60g pouch of RenewMe than anticipated?

A: Our RenewMe pouches are filled by weight—each pouch contains 60 grams, designed to provide approximately 30 servings at 2 grams per serving when measured by teaspoon
However, several factors can lead to receiving fewer servings than expected:

  • Settling During Transit: Like many powdered products, the contents can settle during shipping, causing the volume (how much space it takes up) to reduce.
  • Heaping vs. Level Teaspoon: While we suggest using a teaspoon as a convenient measure (approximately 2 grams), a heaping teaspoon will exceed 2 grams, reducing the total number of servings.
  • Weight is More Accurate: The most accurate way to ensure 30 servings is to weigh out 2 grams per serving using a kitchen scale.

In summary: Measuring by weight (grams) gives the most accurate serving count, while measuring by volume (teaspoons) can vary due to settling and how the spoon is filled.
